Rackham Planning successfully secured planning permission at appeal for a new 60,000 sq ft self storage warehouse on this landmark site on one of the main routes into North London. The site has been vacant and derelict for nearly 10 years and many attempts have been made to secure its redevelopment.
Rackham Planning successfully convinced the Inspector that the proposal, which includes 5 storeys of self storage space (including 2 basement levels), would not harm residential amenity, was of a design, scale, mass and appearance that respected the surrounding area and would constitute an acceptable use on this brownfield site.
Given the Council’s reasons for refusal, an award of costs was also successfully made on behalf of the client.
